Therefore, the anime remake was animated by the studio Toei Animation ( Dragon Ball Super ), directed by Kazuya Karasawa based on the RPG Dragon Quest .
Synopsis:
The story begins with a 12-year-old boy named Dai (Fly) remembering a story told to him by his adoptive grandfather, the monster wizard Brass, about the defeat of the Demon King Hadlar at the hands of a hero known as Avan. But after Demon King Hadlar's defeat, all monsters were freed from his evil will, and peace reigned supreme throughout the world again for ten years.
Therefore, the classic manga Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai appeared in Shonen Jump between 1989 and 1996 and had 37 volumes at the time. Although the work later spawned a 46-episode anime series broadcast here in Brazil by the SBT network.
