The Twitter account (x) “エキストラ担当K (@EX_KT08) ”, a reference in casting actors and actresses for extras in productions in Japan, is reportedly casting young people for the live-action production of the Oshi no Ko .

The text says: Would you like to participate in the filming of a drama or movie? Over 10 million copies in circulation! We will film various scenes, such as school scenes, musical scenes, and dramatic scenes. A live-action adaptation of a successful manga! The popular manga is being turned into a live-action film and a television drama with a cast of young and talented actors .

Therefore, fans are already speculating on social media, but the coincidences are too numerous not to immediately think of Oshi no Ko . Will it be officially announced soon? The call for applications states that filming will begin in mid-November, and if you are interested, please note that you will not be paid to participate. However, you will receive some exclusive merchandise from the franchise as a thank you on the day of your participation.

Synopsis:

The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol named Ai Hoshino . One day, Hoshino shows up at his office, claiming she's pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. The idol doesn't want to abort; she wants both children. So Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in his beloved idol's arms, Gorou discovers he's been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino , Ai's newborn son! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversies, where talent doesn't always bring success.

Akasaka and Yokoyari began the manga in  Shueisha 's in 2020. Volume 11 of the manga was released on March 17, 2023 in Japan. The first season of the Oshi no Ko , directed by Daisuke Hiramaki, premiered on April 12 in Japan.
