The Twitter account (x) “エキストラ担当K (@EX_KT08)”, a reference in casting actors and actresses as extras in productions in Japan, would be casting young people for the production of the live-action Oshi no Ko .

The text reads: Would you like to participate in the filming of a drama or movie? Over 10 million copies in circulation! We'll film a variety of scenes, including school scenes, musical scenes, and dramatic scenes. A live-action adaptation of a hit manga! The popular manga is being adapted into a live-action film and a television drama with a cast of talented young actors .

Fans are already speculating on social media, but there are too many coincidences to not immediately think of Oshi no Ko . Will it be officially announced soon? The call states that filming will begin in mid-November, and if you're interested, please note that you won't be paid to participate. However, you will receive some never-before-seen franchise merchandise as a thank you on the same day you participate.

Synopsis:

The story follows a doctor named Gorou , a fan of a 16-year-old idol named Ai Hoshino . One day, Hoshino shows up at his office, claiming she's pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. The idol doesn't want to abort; she wants both children. So Gorou promises her a safe delivery. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure will result in his untimely death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in his beloved idol's arms, Gorou discovers he's been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino , Ai's newborn son! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversies, where talent doesn't always bring success.

Akasaka and Yokoyari began the manga in  Shueisha 's in 2020. Volume 11 of the manga was released on March 17, 2023, in Japan. The first season of the Oshi no Ko , directed by Daisuke Hiramaki, premiered on April 12 in Japan.
