Rurouni Kenshin – Anime gets new trailer

The remake of the anime Rurouni Kenshin ( Samurai X ) has had a new trailer released. According to the official website, the premiere of the new series will take place in July this year in Japan.

Directed by Hideyo Yamamoto at animation studio Liden Films (Tokyo Revengers, Yofukashi no Uta), composition by Hideyuki Kurata , character designer by Terumi Nishii and music by Yu Takami .

Synopsis

Kenshin Himura, known as one of the best swordsmen in the country, is tired of killing so much. However, his past comes back to haunt him and Kenshin will be forced to wield his sword again against enemies old and new.

Watsuki and his wife, Kaoru  Kurosaki , launched the  Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc manga in Shueisha's Jump SQ in September 2017. Ultimately, the manga went on hiatus in December 2017 after Watsuki was accused of possessing child pornography. The work later resumed publication in June 2018.

Finally, the anime proposes to readapt the complete manga.
