Fuji TV announced on Wednesday that the new Rurouni Kenshin will premiere in July. Additionally, the anime's staff revealed an image featuring the four main characters.

Soma Saito stars in the series as Kenshin Himura, while Rie Takahashi stars as Kaoru Kamiya.

The anime aims to re-adapt the manga.
The series is directed by Hideyo Yamamoto at the animation studio Liden Films (Tokyo Revengers, Yofukashi no Uta), with composition by Hideyuki Kurata , character design by Terumi Nishii , and music by Yu Takami .
Watsuki and his wife, Kaoru Kurosaki , launched the manga Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc in Shueisha's Jump SQ in September 2017. The manga eventually went on hiatus in December 2017 after Watsuki was accused of possessing child pornography. Publication resumed in June 2018.
Synopsis
Kenshin Himura, once known as one of the best swordsmen in the country, is weary of killing. However, his past returns to haunt him, and Kenshin will be forced to wield his sword once more against old and new enemies.
