The official channel for the Live-Action Rurouni Kenshin or in Brazil Samurai-X released the first teaser for the long-awaited sequel, the video is approximately 30 seconds long and will be released next summer 2014. The teaser features a brief appearance by actor Tatsuya Fujiwara as Makoto Shishio .

Already mid-year, not one, but two sequels were confirmed! Even though the entire story up to the Oni Gang is told in just one two-and-a-half-hour film, the production will continue Shishio's saga with two films.
