Rurouni Kenshin anime adaptation made by studio LIDEN FILMS , confirmation came during the Jump Festa 22 .

Watsuki and his wife, Kaoru Kurosaki , launched the Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc manga in Shueisha's Jump SQ in September 2017. The manga went on hiatus in December 2017 after Watsuki was accused of possessing child pornography. The work later resumed publication in June 2018. More recently, the manga took a two-month break from June to July.
Shueisha published the sixth volume of the work on July 2nd.
