Rurouni Kenshin anime adaptation by LIDEN FILMS , the confirmation came during the Jump Festa 22 .

Watsuki and his wife, Kaoru Kurosaki , launched the manga Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc in Shueisha's Jump SQ in September 2017. The manga went on hiatus in December 2017 after Watsuki was accused of possessing child pornography. Publication resumed in June 2018. More recently, the manga took a two-month break from June to July.
Shueisha published the sixth volume of the series on July 2nd.
