The RWBY: Ice Queendom anime series will have a total of 12 episodes , as listed on the Blu-ray/DVD. According to the official website , the series premiered in Japan on July 3rd.
Synopsis:
The story revolves around four girls, each with their own unique weapon and powers, studying to become Huntresses at Beacon Academy in the city of Vale: the excitable and idealistic Ruby Rose, the cold and controlling Weiss Schnee, the reserved Blake Belladonna, and Ruby's combative half-sister Yang Xiao Long. Together, they form Team RWBY, contemporaries of Teams CRDL ("cardinal"), JNPR ("juniper"), and CFVY ("coffee").
Directed by Toshimasa Suzuki at SHAFT series is composed by Tow Ubukata. RWBY is an animated series produced by Rooster Teeth Animation in the United States, featuring a Japanese animation style.
Finally, after several promotional videos, the series premiered in July 2013. In addition, the episodes were released biweekly on YouTube, where they received a second one in July 2014.
