On October 23rd, my aunt Ryo Kono passed away suddenly due to a possible gastrointestinal hemorrhage. I cannot hide my shock at this sudden loss. Every project my aunt worked on was a source of pride for our family. I want to express my sincere gratitude [to Ryo Kono] for the kindness she showed me in life.

She worked on notable titles such as Ninja Scroll , Psycho-Pass , and Tokyo Ghoul , but it was on Mob 100 that she truly shone as an art director. Under Studio Bones, her vision transformed the anime into a visual masterpiece, for which fans are eternally grateful.
In addition to Mob Psycho 100 , Kono also participated in projects such as Devilman Crybaby , Carole & Tuesday , Kaiba , Space Dandy , and Super Crooks . Working with renowned studios like Science Saru and Bones, Kono left an exemplary legacy that continues to inspire artists and animators.
