On October 23rd, my aunt Ryo Kono passed away suddenly due to a suspected gastrointestinal bleed. I cannot hide my confusion at this sudden loss. Every piece my aunt worked on was a source of pride for our family. I want to express my sincere gratitude [to Ryo Kono] for the kindness she showed me during her lifetime.

She worked on notable titles like Ninja Scroll , Psycho-Pass , and Tokyo Ghoul , but it was on Mob 100 that she truly excelled as an art director.
