Sailor Moon Cosmos – Check out the film's opening song

The official website for 'Sailor Moon Cosmos' revealed this Tuesday the project's uncredited opening sequence. The opening sequence features a new version of “Moonlight Densetsu”, the same opening song from the 1992 Sailor Moon anime.

Saori Hayami (top left in image above) plays Taiki Kō/Sailor Star Maker (bottom left). Marina Inoue (top center) as Seiya Kō/Sailor Star Fighter (bottom center). Ayane Sakura (top right) plays Yaten Kō/Sailor Star Healer (bottom right).

Nana Mizuki (top left in image above) plays Princess Kakyū (bottom left). Megumi Hayashibara (top center) as Sailor Galaxia (bottom center). Kotono Mitsuishi (top right) as Chibi Chibi (bottom right). Mitsuishi, who also voices Usagi Tsukino/Sailor Moon, is also reprising her role as Chibi Chibi.

The second film opens on June 30th, while the first film opens on June 9th.

Therefore, the direction is by Tomoya Takahashi ( Toei Animation and Studio Dee n), script by Kazuyuki Fudeyasu , and character designer by Kazuko Tadano .

It is worth mentioning that the original manga was then serialized between 1991 and 1997. Thus, it had a total of 60 chapters and was compiled into a total of 18 volumes. However, the original anime premiered on Toei in 1992 and 1997 . Toei Animation has also produced 3 animated films, a television special and three short films based on the same franchise.

Synopsis

Sailor Cosmos comes from a future in which she fled a battle against Chaos. But she returns to the past as the little redhead Chibichibi (Sailor ChibiChibi Moon), to guide Sailor Moon on the path to defeat Sailor Galaxia.
