In celebration of its 20th anniversary Sailor Moon Crystal franchise has released its first trailer for season 3, titled " Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Crystal: Season III ". The new season is scheduled to premiere on April 4th on Tokyo MX, and subsequently on Sun TV, TVQ Kyushu Broadcasting, TV Hokkaido, TV Aichi, and BS11.
The third season will feature Chiaki Kon (Nodame Cantabile) directing the anime. Akira Takahashi (Dokidoki! Precure) will handle character design. Yuji Kobayashi will be in charge of series scripts. Takashi Kurahashi is returning as art director, and Yasuharu Takanashi is returning to compose the music. King Records will once again produce the music, and Toei Animation will handle the animation.
The focus will be on the Death Busters arc (also called the Infinity arc) and adapting the arc from volumes five and six of the complete edition of Naoko Takeuchi's Sailor Moon manga.
