For some time now, a suspicious website has been keeping many nerds and otaku awake at night, wondering what this new content released by Toei Animation . Now, with only a few hours left before the mysterious website opens, according to the portal cavzodiaco , we can finally breathe a sigh of relief: it's the new 3D CGI (computer-generated imagery) Saint Seiya movie, announced years ago and only now, in 2014, reaching movie theaters.
At the end of the countdown, the site will redirect to the URL www.saintseiya2014.com. The first official image was also released. In it we can see Hyoga of Cygnus, Seiya of Pegasus, Shun of Andromeda and Shiryu of Dragon with their backs turned and in front of a staircase. More information coming soon.
The countdown has ended. As speculated last week, the latest news about Saint Seiya is the computer-animated film. The clock at zero leads to the aforementioned website saintseiya2014, which shows a preview image of the film and the phrase "The Legend of Seiya Begins Here". The feature film will retell the first phase of the classic manga: The Sanctuary Saga. We don't know for sure what the script will be like, but the image seems to confirm the presence of the four main Bronze Saints: Seiya, Shun, Shiryu, and Hyoga.
The project is being directed by Keiichi Satou, the same person responsible for Tiger & Bunny, and is being overseen by Masami Kurumada. The creator of Saint Seiya is listed as co-writer and chief producer.
The animated film is expected to be released in Japanese theaters in July 2014.
