We have a new trailer for the anime film Sand Land , an original work by mangaka Akira Toriyama (Dragon Ball). Therefore, the film opens on August 18th of this year in cinemas in Japan.

Synopsis
Humans and demons coexist in a hostile place. When the river that supplied the entire world dries up, the King begins to control all remaining water distribution. Thus, the old sheriff Lao decides to go in search of the legendary Fountain of Dreams , accompanied by the demon Beelzebub and his friend Thief.
Toshihisa Yokoshima ("Tales of Crestoria: The Wake of Sin", "Amanatsu", "Cocolors", Dragon Quest sequels) is directing the film at Sunrise, while Kamikaze Douga and Anima with Hiroshi Koujina (Ryoma! The Prince of Tennis , The Vampire Dies in No Time , Grenadier ) serving as a directorial advisor. Hayashi Mori (Cells at Work! Code Black, Drifting Home) is writing the script. Yoshikazu Iwanami is directing the sound, while Yugo Kanno (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders, Psycho-Pass, Ajin) is composing the music.
The Sand Land manga is therefore a short series that Toriyama serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine from May to August 2000. Shueisha published a volume of the manga in November 2000.
