The official website for the new anime Scenes from Awajima ( Awajima Hyakkei ) has released its first trailer and visual, confirming its release for 2026.
The Scenes from Awajima will premiere in April 2026, animated by Madhouse studio.

Synopsis : Scenes from Awajima
At the Awashima Opera School , girls from all over the country gather with a common dream: to perform on stage. Among them is Wakana , a newcomer who entered the school inspired by the glamour of musical theater stars. Kinue , the dormitory leader, diligently pursues her studies, carrying the desire of a dear friend. Emi , a beautiful scholarship student, draws attention with her captivating presence. And then there's Keiko , who admires, envies, and constantly observes her—along with her family. The daily lives of these girls, full of precious and unique feelings, gently intertwine as the narrative alternates between each character's point of view. A delicate and striking portrait of the youth of these young women living in the present.
Wajima Hyakkei was published in July 2021 through PocoPoco and concluded on March 15, 2024. Finally, Takako Shimura created Wandering Son and Sweet Blue Flowers , both of which received anime adaptations in 2011 and 2009.
