The official website for the new anime Scenes from Awajima ( Awajima Hyakkei ) has announced a new promotional image trailer. Animated by studio Madhouse, the series premieres in April 2026.

Synopsis : Scenes from Awajima
At the Awashima Opera School , girls from all over the country gather with a common dream: to perform on stage. Among them is Wakana , a newcomer who entered the school inspired by the glamour of musical theater stars. Kinue , the dormitory leader, diligently pursues her studies, carrying the desire of a dear friend. Emi , a beautiful scholarship student, draws attention with her captivating presence. And then there's Keiko , who admires, envies, and constantly observes her—along with her family. The daily lives of these girls, full of precious and unique feelings, gently intertwine as the narrative alternates between each character's point of view. A delicate and striking portrait of the youth of these young women living in the present.
Finally, the anime adapts the manga by Takako Shimura Morio Asaka directs , with production by Madhouse , known for its technical and narrative care. Therefore, the expectation is for a delicate, intense, and profoundly human work.
