The long-awaited second season of Free! has been greenlit and is happening. The announcement was made through a poster shown at an event held by Kyoto Animation . The first season ended with a "See you next summer" message in the final episode.
The anime premiered in July in Japan, and the Crunchyroll is currently streaming the anime.
Free! revolves around the character Haruka Nanase , a boy who has always loved being in the water and swimming. Before graduating from elementary school, he participated in a tournament with his fellow swimmers (Makoto Tachibana, Hazuki Nagisa, and Rin Matsuoka). After winning, each went their separate ways.
