During the screening of the Mushishi anime special , it was announced that a second season is in production and is scheduled to premiere in April, the title was also announced, Mushishi Zoku Shou (Mushishi: The Sequel Chapter).
According to the announcement, the staff will be the same as in the first season. The story features omnipresent creatures called Mushi that often display supernatural powers.
Mushi are beings in touch with the essence of life in its most basic and pure form. Due to their ephemeral nature, most humans are unable to perceive mushi and are oblivious to their existence, but there are some who have the ability to see and interact with such beings. One such person is Ginko, the main character of the series.
