Shingeki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) is finally getting a second season. According to the international news site comicbookmovie , the series producer George Wada confirmed the pre-production of the new season of the anime, without giving any details about the plot. The producer announced this during the Animagic 2014 event .
According to updated information from the Crunchyroll website, an image was released from the panel at the event where the anime's production team participated in a Q&A session. George Wada revealed some secrets about the production of the first season: he stated that he wanted to adapt the manga after reading only the second volume by author Hajime Isayama.
He added that he was convinced of the series' success, made possible by its overseas release, focusing on the anime's action, but also by the series' construction involving Titans against humanity.
During the panel, Wada-san was the focus of the cosplayers, who constantly asked about his favorite characters. Remembering that he became known for his love of Inori from Guilty Crown, he responded by saying that his favorite character from Attack on Titan is Sasha Braus.
However, one of the issues addressed was the anti-piracy recently launched by the Japanese government. Wada responded that he believes the more people who can watch his productions, the better; however, he hopes that in the future there will be a fully functioning system that allows people from all over the world to watch series directly in their own languages.

The story of Attack on Titan takes place in a world where the remaining part of the human population lives inside a city surrounded by enormous walls built to control the sudden appearance of the Titans – gigantic humanoid creatures that devour humans for no apparent reason. The story focuses on Eren Jaeger and his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman, whose lives were forever changed after the appearance of a colossal Titan that destroyed part of the city wall, allowing several Titans to enter the city.
