Virtua Fighter is a fighting game released in 1993, developed by the SEGA AM2 directed by Yu Suzuki. It was one of the first polygonal (3D) games and the first 3D fighting game. The team developed it at the same time as the Virtua Racing game, these were the company's first 100% polygonal games. One of the game's biggest innovations was the possibility of changing the view on the camera during the game. This innovative technology was patented by the company AM2.
