North American anime distributor FUNimation has announced that it has acquired the rights to stream the anime Selector Infected WIXOSS. The first episode will be available to subscribers on April 3rd at 1:49 PM EDT, and will be available for free a week later.
The anime's slogan is: Hope, Desire, Greed. In other words, girls who harbor these feelings in their hearts are being targeted and subsequently drawn into this dangerous game. Takuya Satō (Steins;Gate, Armitage III) is directing, and Mari Okada (anohana, Hana-Saku Iroha) is in charge of the series' script.
WIXOSS is a very popular card game, especially among middle school children. But few know about the LRIG Card, "the card for girls who possess willpower." Only special girls can hear LRIG's voice, and those who possess this card are called selectors.
