The August cover of Japanese magazine Comic Gene highlights the upcoming anime adaptation of Servamp Seven Seas published the second volume of the compiled book in June. The company describes the story:
The story follows young high school student Mahiru Shirota, whose life changes overnight when he encounters a black cat named Kuro on the street. Kuro is, in fact, no ordinary feline, but a servamp: a vampire servant. He becomes embroiled in a completely surreal, ancient conflict between vampires and humans.
Author Strike Tanaka launched the series in Japan through Comic Gene in 2011. Kadokawa published the seventh compiled volume in Japan in December.
