The 24 teams that qualified for the Perfect World Shanghai Major 2024, the second Major of the year and the main world tournament for CS 2, were defined after the conclusion of the European RMR B this Sunday (24). The championship, which starts on December 1st, will bring together elite teams in search of the most coveted title in the game.

The road to the Major began on November 11th with the APAC (Asia-Pacific) RMR. The MongolZ, Rare Atom, and FlyQuest secured spots in the competition after fierce battles in the region. Following that, Brazil stood out in the Americas RMR, with FURIA , paiN , Imperial , and MIBR advancing alongside Team Liquid, Complexity, and Wildcard.

Brazil is strong in the Shanghai Major
With four Brazilian representatives, the Shanghai Major promises great excitement for fans of the competitive CS:GO scene in the country. FURIA, considered the best performing Brazilian team recently, debuts against GamerLegion. However, the initial highlight will be the match between paiN and Imperial, which will guarantee the presence of at least one Brazilian team in the second round.
MIBR will face Virtus.pro, a team with a strong tradition on the global stage, in a duel that promises to be intense. Furthermore, the performance of the Brazilian teams will be crucial in solidifying the country as a powerhouse in esports.
International teams bring balance to the Major
On the other hand, in the European scene, big names like Vitality, MOUZ, Natus Vincere, and FaZe Clan confirmed their status as favorites in the RMR. However, the highlight was BIG and 3DMAX, who advanced undefeated in the European RMR B.
In addition, the tournament will also feature teams that surprised during the qualifiers, such as Passion UA, one of the surprises of the RMR, and Spirit, which secured a spot on the last day of competition.
