The official website for author Naoshi Arakawa's adaptation has released a new promotional video for the anime "Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso " (April is Your Lie). The video features a cover of the band Goose House's song "Uroko" (Fish Scale) sung by Motohiro Hata. The series premieres on Japanese television in October.
The story of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso revolves around Kosei Arima, a former child prodigy who lost his ability to play the piano when his mother died. His monochromatic daily life begins to gain color when he meets a violinist by chance. Kaori Miyazono is a girl brimming with personality. Charmed by her, Kosei begins to move forward on his own two feet at the age of 14.
Kyohei Ishiguro (Fairy Tail, Psycho-Pass) is directing the anime at A-1 Picture. The script is by Takao Yoshioka (WATAMOTE). Yukiko Aikei (Accel World, Horizon in the Middle of Nowhere) is serving as character designer and chief animation director.
