After the announcement, several memes and annoying phrases took over Twitter:
- ONE YEAR. They had ONE YEAR to produce this and they will divide it into two parts because the work “was much bigger than they expected”. There is a huge lack of organization in the studio
- MAPPA employees never go home? KAKAKAKAKA
- What will generate the most hate is that they are united, stirring up a story ending that could very easily end in 8 episodes
- If only we had to wait for all this for a good ending…..
- And they are also going to release the film “The end of attack on titan” lol
Therefore , the studio's production committee left a message for fans:
Attack on Titan The Final Season anime premiered on the NHK in December 2020, airing a total of 16 episodes. Attack on Titan The Final Season Part 2 premiered with episode 76 on the NHK General on January 9th, totaling 12 episodes, all of the last seasons animated by studio MAPPA.
