The live-action Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X) movie, released in the middle of the year, has been confirmed not one, but two sequels! Even though it tells the entire story up to the Oni Gang in just one two-and-a-half-hour film, the production will tackle Shishio's saga with two movies.
The first one will be about the Great Kyoto Fire, probably featuring the Juppongatana group as the main villains, and Shishio as the man behind the scenes.
-The second film will be about "The End of the Legend," which will surely culminate in the final battle between Saito and Kenshin against the villain Shishio Makoto.
The big news is the first official image of the character Shishio, who will be played by Fujiwara Tatsuya (who played Shuya Nanahara in Battle Royale and Light Yagami in the Death Note films).
