Shokugeki no Soma anime returns on November 15, 2024 on the Netflix platform.
Synopsis:
The Shokugeki no Soma anime revolves around Yukihira Soma, a high school student who is determined to surpass his father in cooking skills. One day, his father decides to close his family's restaurant and improve his culinary skills in Europe. But before leaving, he enrolls Soma in an elite gastronomic institute that is extremely difficult to get into and has a graduation rate of just 10%. Will Soma be able to improve his cooking skills? Or will the kitchen prove too hot for him?
Finally, Shokugeki no Soma is based on the manga of the same name, written by Yūto Tsukuda and illustrated by Shun Saeki. Since Chapter 5, it has also had the collaboration of Yuki Morisaki, model and culinary chef who provides the recipes for the series. Additionally, individual chapters of the manga have been released in Weekly Shōnen Jump since November 26, 2012, with tankōbon volumes being released by publisher Shueisha.
