Hello, manga fans! We have some big news straight from Shueisha that's sure to shake up the manga . In a recent press release, the publisher announced a major staff change at the renowned Weekly Shonen Jump .
- 'Boku no Hero' manga comes to an end in 5 chapters
- Manga “Kagurabachi” reaches 350,000 copies in circulation
Hiroyuki Nakano , who took over as editor-in-chief in July 2017, will pass the baton to Yu Saito , the current associate editor. Nakano, who was the 11th editor-in-chief in the magazine's history, has done an exceptional job over the years, succeeding Yoshihisa Heishi , who had been at the helm since 2011.
Nakano won't be leaving Shueisha entirely. He'll be taking on a new challenge as editor of Eiichiro Oda 's One Piece . This transition promises to bring a fresh perspective to the pirate saga we love so much.
Yū Saitō, who will now lead Weekly Shonen Jump, brings with him a wealth of experience and a fresh vision to continue the magazine's successful tradition. Fans can look forward to fresh approaches and, perhaps, exciting new titles under his leadership.
Therefore, a change in editor-in-chief is always a significant moment for the magazine, which is a true pillar of the manga industry. We look forward to seeing the new directions Weekly Shonen Jump will take under Saitō's leadership.
