Shueisha announced that the MANGA Plus app will begin publishing all new manga from Weekly Young Jump magazine simultaneously worldwide — with the exception of Japan, Korea, and China. The first title in this new phase is Bungo -unreal- , a sequel to the popular baseball manga Bungo , created by Yūji Ninomiya .

The new manga debuted this Thursday (10) in Young Jump. The story follows Bungo Ishihama and Yukio Noda , now in high school, after the intense period of training and competitions. Determined to win five consecutive Koshien championships , they face even stronger rivals, raising the sports drama and rivalry that marked the original title.
However, the Bungo manga was published from December 2014 to December 2024 , totaling 41 volumes , with the last one released on April 17th by Shueisha.
Global expansion of MANGA Plus
Launched in January 2019 , MANGA Plus is Shueisha's official platform for free and legal reading of manga. The service makes chapters available simultaneously with Japan, including works from Weekly Shonen Jump , Jump Square , and Shonen Jump+ . Authors will receive the revenue generated from advertisements for their work.
