SHY: Anime has its 2nd season announced

The official website for the anime adaptation of Bukimi Miki “SHY ” announced that the animation will receive a second season. Miki shared an illustration to commemorate the announcement:

The site also revealed two voice actors who appeared in the 12th and final episode of the first season:

  • Shunichi Toki as Doki
  • Saori Hayami as Inori

The first Blu-ray volume of the anime will have a limited edition, including a mini-manga by Miki, the release is scheduled for March 27, 2024.

Synopsis

Just as the planet was approaching its third world war, therefore, super-powered individuals from all over the world appeared to keep the peace. They have become the symbols of their respective nations, furthermore, fighting to limit crime and bring evildoers to justice. However, teenage heroine Teru “Shy” Momijiyama is Japan's representative in the world of heroes. When a mysterious threat called Amalareiks emerges, Shy must team up with his fellow heroes to stop them at all costs.

The anime premiered in Japan on October 2 this year on TV Tokyo and other networks.

Author Bukimi Miki first published the work in Weekly Shonen Champion as a one-shot manga in January 2017 and began serializing the manga in the same magazine in August 2019.
