SHY: Anime has its 2nd season announced

The official website for the anime adaptation of Bukimi Miki "SHY " has announced that the anime will receive a second season. Miki shared an illustration to commemorate the announcement:

The website also revealed two voice actors who appeared in the 12th and final episode of the first season:

  • Shunichi Toki as Doki
  • Saori Hayami as Inori

The first Blu-ray volume of the anime will have a limited edition, including a mini-manga by Miki, and is scheduled for release on March 27, 2024.

Synopsis

As the planet approached its third world war, superpowered individuals from around the globe emerged to maintain peace. They became symbols of their respective nations, fighting to curb crime and bring wrongdoers to justice. Meanwhile, teenage heroine Teru “Shy” Momijiyama represents Japan in the world of heroes. When a mysterious threat called Amalareiks emerges, Shy must unite with her fellow heroes to stop them at all costs.

The anime premiered in Japan on October 2nd of this year on TV Tokyo and other networks.

Author Bukimi Miki first published the work in Weekly Shonen Champion as a one-shot manga in January 2017 and began serializing the manga in the same magazine in August 2019.
