Signs indicate Momoshiki's return in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex

In Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, the protagonist is in one of his strongest and most authentic moments since the beginning of the series. After years of being criticized for relying on the power of Karma and the constant interference of Momoshiki Otsutsuki, the new Boruto shows himself to be more mature, determined, and, above all, aware of his limits and goals.

However, even with this evident growth, Momoshiki's shadow continues to loom over him. And now, with the plot heading towards even more dangerous confrontations, everything indicates that the villain may be about to return at a crucial moment.

Momoshiki's silence is not a sign of weakness

Since Boruto and Sasuke fled the Leaf Village, Momoshiki has simply disappeared from the narrative, which has caused bewilderment among the most attentive fans. His last notable moment was during the dramatic events of chapter 80 of Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, when he tried to break the protagonist's spirit after Kawaki's betrayal and Eida's manipulation. Even in the face of pain and chaos, Boruto did not give in. He remained firm, refusing to surrender his body to Momoshiki, which forced the villain to be silent, but only for now.

What many readers don't realize is that this silence is strategic. Momoshiki is far from having given up. His calculating and opportunistic nature makes him dangerous precisely because he waits for the ideal moment to act. The absence of his visual presence in the manga doesn't mean he's been defeated, but rather that he's lurking, observing and waiting for the perfect opening to take control.

Boruto has evolved, but he's not free yet

Following the traumatic events of the past, Boruto underwent an intense training process under Sasuke's guidance. He not only honed his skills but also strengthened his mind, creating greater resistance against possible interference from Momoshiki. Alongside enigmatic figures like Kashin Koji, Boruto mastered new techniques and gained clarity about the type of ninja he wants to become.

Despite this, the bond between him and Momoshiki continues to exist. No matter how much Boruto grows, the threat of losing control over his body never completely disappears. This is especially relevant now, when the dangers around him are more present than ever.

Jura and the Shinju: the battle that could awaken the worst enemy

In chapter 21 of the manga, we see Boruto heading to the Land of Wind to save Konohamaru from a direct confrontation with the Shinju Matsuri. Despite Kashin Koji's warnings not to get involved, Boruto decides to act. This decision, while heroic, could be costly. Jura, the strongest of the Shinju clones, becomes aware of the movement and prepares to intervene.

This threat puts Boruto in an extremely vulnerable position. Jura is described as capable of eliminating everything Boruto has fought for so far. And it is precisely in this scenario that Momoshiki can seize the opportunity. If Boruto is about to die, the villain will not hesitate to take control of his body to ensure his own survival. After all, if Boruto dies, he dies too.

Momoshiki may not be the only surprise factor

Although Momoshiki's return is increasingly likely, the manga could still surprise with other elements. Characters like Kawaki, Code, Sarada, and even Kashin Koji have yet to show their full potential in this new phase. Any one of them could intervene in the decisive confrontation against Jura, which could completely alter the course of the story.

Therefore, even though the signs point to Momoshiki's awakening, there's still room for twists and turns. The balance of power in Boruto: Two Blue Vortex is unstable, and this keeps readers on the edge of their seats with each new chapter.
