Following the removal of its teaser, PT, from the PlayStation Store and Del Toro's announcement that Hideo Kojima would be fired from the game's production, Silent Hills, which was scheduled for release on the PlayStation 4, has been officially canceled. The news was announced via the following tweet:
Konami is committed to new Silent Hill titles, however, the embryonic 'Silent Hills' project developed with Guillermo del Toro and featuring Norman Reedus will not be continued.
In terms of Kojima and Del Toro being involved, discussions about future Silent Hill projects are ongoing, and please stay tuned for more news.
Anyone who downloaded the Teaser will be able to play it normally.
