Even after the conclusion of the second season of the anime Sono Bisque Doll ( My Dress-Up Darling ), the anime's future remains uncertain. In a recent interview, members of the production team commented that, despite their affection for the project, there is no official confirmation of a third season at this time.

According to animation producer Sho Someno , the decision doesn't depend solely on the series' success. Factors such as the Clover Works , the creative team's availability, and long-term planning weigh heavily. Furthermore, the team emphasized that they prefer not to move forward without guaranteeing the same level of quality seen in previous seasons.

However, the ending of the second season generated mixed interpretations among fans. While some saw the ending as a "pause point," others understood it as a possible provisional conclusion to the adaptation. Thus, the absence of a teaser or immediate announcement only fueled further doubts.

Nevertheless, the producers emphasize that the positive audience reception and commercial performance — including Blu-ray and licensed products — are important signs. However, until everything is aligned, Sono Bisque Doll ( My Dress-Up Darling ) remains without a confirmed return date.
