The Wii U version of the new Super Smash Bros. already has a set release date: November 21 in the United States.
According to Nintendo, the game will hit stores alongside the first Amiibo figurine collection. There will be 12 characters that can be connected to both the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS versions of Smash Bros.
The second batch of Amiibos is scheduled for release in December.
Smash for Wii U will feature the same characters, modes, and mechanics as the 3DS version. The difference, besides better graphics, is the stage selection, which will be completely different.
Nintendo also confirmed that 2.8 million units of the portable edition have been sold worldwide since its launch on October 3.
Smash Bros is a fighting game developed by HAL Laboratory and published by Nintendo for the Nintendo 64.
