Synopsis:

Tatsumiyajima is the central island of a small archipelago in an isolated part of Japan. Not much happens there, so much so that the island's young people go to school knowing their lives should remain peaceful and trouble-free... At least that's what they've been taught, but the truth is different. The future of humanity is in danger, and Tatsumiyajima is the last line of defense against a mysterious enemy. To fight for the continuation of human existence, a giant robot named Fafner is the guardian of humanity's last treasure.

Soukyuu no Fafner Behind the Line is a mecha anime franchise that began with a TV series in 2004 and later gained films, specials and a new TV anime to continue the story of the work, finally arriving at the episodic films.
