The official website for the science fiction film Space Brothers (Uchū Kyōdai) has released the full trailer for the film. The story follows the character Brian Jay , a legendary astronaut , who will play a key role in the film. The film will portray for the first time the "true reason " for going into space from a character's perspective . The film also provides more details about the other "Space Brothers" in the series: Eddie and Brian Jay .
Koyama wrote original script origin story" film Ayumu Watanabe is directing and is helming , along with animation studio A-1 Pictures. Hiroaki Hirata and Kenn are reprising their roles as Mutta Nanba and Hibito Nanba . Unicorn rock band is performing two theme songs , including the original opening theme , " Feel So Moon," along with the new song, " Hayaguchi Curry. "
The film opens in Japan on August 9th.
