After a good reception on PlayStation 5, South Korean studio Shift Up has managed to repeat-and even enlarge-the impact of the game on the PC environment, reaching an even more expressive audience with the new version. The computer version came with good technical performance, engaging combat and refined graphics, which helped attract an even larger players base.

New top among PlayStation solo games on Steam
Stellar Blade premiered on Steam on June 11 with a peak that surpassed the 117,000 simultaneous players, a number that guaranteed Shift Up the post of PlayStation's biggest single-player premiere on the PC.
Performance exceeded other weight adaptations. Compared to other PlayStation titles adapted for the PC, Stellar Blade has exceeded games like Ghost of Tsushima, which recorded about 77,000 simultaneous players, as well as God of War and Spider-Man Remastered, both with lower peaks.
Helldivers 2 remains PlayStation's most played title at Steam, with over 450,000 simultaneous players. However, because it is a simultaneous multiplayer game on both platforms, direct comparison with Stellar Blade loses relevance. Among the solo campaigns, none had a debut as strong as this.
Community feedback helps boost Stellar Blade
The players who tested the port on the PC did not save compliments. The version was rapidly classified as “extremely positive” on Steam, with 95% of the evaluations highlighting aspects such as fluid performance, neat graphics and responsive combat system.
The demo released days earlier had left a favorable impression. At the official launch, this reception was consolidated. Many users said the game runs well even in intermediate setups, which contributed to further expanding its active base in the early hours.

Criticism analysis reinforces the good moment
In the specialized press, Stellar Blade also had a solid reception. The PC version metacritic reached an average of 85 points, even surpassing the score received at the time of arrival at PlayStation 5.
Vehicles like Noisy Pixel praised the title, granting 95 and highlighting the quality of combat and collaborations with other franchises, such as Nier Automata and Goddess of Victory: Nikke. In contrast, sites like PCGamen were more critical, pointing out the narrative flaws and lack of depth in the characters. Still, most reviews point more merits than problems.
Franchise future is already under development
The positive response to launch encouraged Shift Up to accelerate its franchise plans. The company has confirmed that a sequence of Stellar Blade is already under development, although there is no date set for its arrival.
The developer also works in other initiatives, such as the new project temporarily called Project Witches, as well as keeping active the Game Mobile Goddess of Victory: Nikke community, which continues to receive constant updates.
