Stellar Blade patch 1.2.0 is now available and brings significant changes that increase immersion and challenge for players. The main new feature of the update is the unlocking of hard mode from the start of the game, without the need to complete the campaign first. Additionally, the soundtrack has been re-arranged, and technical improvements have been implemented to optimize performance.

At approximately 4.9 GB, the new patch reinforces developer Shift Up's commitment to keeping the game up-to-date, fixing bugs, and responding to community demands. The update directly impacts Boss Challenge mode, which can now also be accessed with high difficulty from the start.

New music tracks celebrate fan support

Another highlight of the update is the inclusion of seven new musical arrangements as a way of thanking the audience. The added songs are alternate versions of iconic compositions, offering a new ambiance for combat and exploration.

Check out the list of tracks included:

  • Don't Forget Me (Trio)
  • Flooded Commercial Sector (Trio)
  • Clock Tower (Trio)
  • White Night (Trio)
  • Wasteland – Reboot (Trio)
  • Oasis (Trio)
  • Don't Forget Me (Refresh)

According to the developer, the addition of these songs is a gesture of affection for all the support received since the game's launch. The soundtrack is one of the highlights praised by players, and this expansion reinforces Stellar Blade's sonic identity.

Patch also fixes bugs and improves performance predictability

In addition to gameplay and soundtrack updates, patch 1.2.0 addresses a number of reported technical issues. The update fixes specific glitches in missions like "Where is the Fantastic Bait?", tweaks the Demogorgon boss fight, and also addresses issues in the minigame developed in collaboration with NIKKE.

Another important technical point is the improvement in the graphics settings' prediction of the video card's VRAM usage. From now on, the menu displays not only the current memory consumption but also the estimated maximum usage during gameplay. This makes it easier to choose the most appropriate visual settings for each player.

Security features ensure greater stability in saves

To prevent loss of progress, the update implemented a new automatic backup system for save files. If an error occurs during saving, the player will be immediately alerted with an on-screen message. This feature aims to preserve the gaming experience and avoid frustrations caused by corrupted files.
