The official website anime Strike Witches: 501st JOINT FIGHTER WING Take Off! revealed a promotional video and visual for the upcoming film on Tuesday (16).

The 30-minute short film will be screened in Japan on October 4th.
The film will feature a new story and new characters, including Aya Uchida as Shizuka Hattori.
The film's story takes place after the disbanding of the 501st. Yoshika Miyafuji spends his days peacefully after returning to his hometown. His former superior officer, Mio Sakamoto, and others have arranged for Yoshika to study abroad at a medical school in Europe. Yoshika returns to Europe with Shizuka Hattori, who was Sakamoto's student at the naval academy. When Yoshika returns to Europe and new signs of Neuroi emerge, the other former members of the 501st Joint Fighter Wing, who were scattered in various locations, also begin to reunite. A powerful Neuroi then appears before Yoshika and Shizuka.
The main cast members are returning from the anime, and some of the key staff members are also returning. Fumio Ito is returning to direct the film at acca effe and Giga Production . Kei Anjiki (Yotsuiro Biyori) is designing the characters. Production IG and Anime Beans are credited with production cooperation.
Strike Witches: 501st JOINT FIGHTER WING Take Off! premiered on April 9, and Crunchyroll and Funimation are streaming the series as it airs. Funimation describes the adaptation of Makoto Fujibayashi :

Fumio Ito (episode director Rage of Bahamut Genesis, School-Live!, Kino's Journey – The Beautiful World) is directing the anime at acca effe and Giga Production, with Production IG and Anime Beans credited for collaborating on animation production. Humikane Shimada and Projekt Kagonish are credited with the original work. Shinya Murakami (Strike Witches 2, Strike Witches: Operation Victory Arrow, High School Fleet) is returning to handle the series' literature. Seikou Nagaoka is also returning to compose the music, with Nippon Columbia credited for music production. Other returning staff members include sound director Tomohiro Yoshida from Glovision and producer Takashi Tachizaki .
