This year, the October issue of Kadokawa's Comptiq magazine reported that Shinozuka Atsuto's Strike Witches: Kurenai no Majo-tachi (Crimson Witches) manga ends this month. Kadokawa published the first compiled volume in September last year and the second compiled volume in March.

The story is set in 1944, around Yoshika Miyafuji, when the 501st teamed up with JFW to protect Gallia. The southern European nation of Romagna is launching a Neuroi counteroffensive with its 504th JFW, nicknamed The Burning Witches.
The main Strike Witches manga is divided into three volumes. The first, Strike Witches: Soukou no otometachi, had only three chapters and was canceled for being too ecchi. The second volume, titled Strike Witches: Tenkou no otometachi, had six chapters, telling the story of Miyafuji Yoshika's entry into the 501st. The third, called Strike Witches: Kimi to Tsunagaru Sora, tells the end of the battle against the Neuroi, and what the members of the 501st did afterward.
