The official website for Suisei no Gargantia has been updated and brought news about the long-awaited ova titled Suisei no Gargantia ~Meguru Kōro, Haruka (Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet).

Last year, it was announced that the series would be getting a new season, but this was denied after the announcement of the OVA, which will be split into two parts. The first is scheduled for release later this year.

The OVA will introduce the character Reema, a rookie messenger transferred from the Kugel ship. She is 13 years old and works under Amy's command. The character Ledo continues as a Yunboro pilot for Bellows.
