Synopsis:
The story introduces us to young Shinpei, who returns to the island where he grew up after several years of absence. Shinpei was an orphan since childhood, and another family on the island, the Kofune, adopted and raised him as if he were just another member of the island community. However, our protagonist now lives in Tokyo, where he studies. The reason Shinpei returned to his native island is to attend the funeral of Ushio, his best childhood friend and adoptive sister, since she is a Kofune.
