Suzume , the new anime film from director Makoto Shinkai ( Your Name , Tenki no Ko ), surpassed the US$320 million (About 1.5 billion reais) at the box office worldwide.

According to official information, the film has already been seen by more than 46 million people around the world. Therefore, outside of Japan, the film has already been watched by more than 35 million people.
Additionally, Suzume's film is the fourth greatest anime of all time, ranking alongside Your Name , Spirited Away , and the recent Demon Slayer Mugen Train .
Synopsis:
The story revolves around Suzume, a 17-year-old girl from a quiet town in Kyuushuu who meets a young man looking for a door. They find a door inside the mountain ruins, and Suzume opens it. The film depicts Suzume's liberation and growth as she closes the doors that are causing the disaster.
Shinkai stated that three important points about the film are that it is a journey through Japan film, and therefore a story about “closing doors” rather than opening them. He elaborated that closing doors can refer to tying up loose ends or finishing something.
Finally, the film premiered in Brazilian cinemas on April 13, 2023 with limited theaters.
