The official website for director Makoto Shinkai film in three years, Suzumeno Tojimari , announced Tuesday that it will have a light novel that will be released on August 24.

Synopsis
The story centers on Suzume, a 17-year-old girl from a quiet town in Kyuushuu who meets a young man searching for a door. They find a door inside mountain ruins, and Suzume opens it. Soon, more doors begin to open around Japan, bringing disasters from the other side. The film depicts Suzume's liberation and growth as she closes the doors that are causing disaster.
The film opens in Japan on November 11th this year.
