The official website for director Makoto Shinkai film in three years, Suzumeno Tojimari , announced on Tuesday that it will also be adapted into a light novel , launching on August 24.

Synopsis
The story centers on Suzume, a 17-year-old girl from a quiet town in Kyushu who meets a young man searching for a door. They find a door within ruins in the mountains, and Suzume opens it. Soon, more doors begin to open around Japan, bringing disaster from the other side. The film portrays Suzume's liberation and growth as she closes the doors that are causing the disaster.
The film will premiere in Japan on November 11th of this year.
