The official website for director Makoto Shinkai film in three years, Suzumeno Tojimari , announced on Tuesday that it will have a light novel that will be released on August 24th.
Shinkai himself will write the novel
Synopsis
The story centers on Suzume, a 17-year-old girl from a quiet town in Kyuushuu who meets a young man looking for a door. They find a door inside the mountain ruins, and Suzume opens it. Soon, more doors begin to open around Japan, bringing disaster on the other side. The film depicts Suzume's liberation and growth as she closes the doors that are causing the disaster.
The film opens in Japan on November 11th this year.
