Bandai has officially announced that the new game inspired by the anime Sword Online : Alicization is another victim of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The delay moved the launch to July instead of May development team and consumers above all
Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris retells the Alicization arc, however, with different events, as we will have the inclusion of an original character: Medina Orthinanos.
Something similar to other games in the franchise, in which we have the character Kureha in SAO: Fatal Bullet and Rain in SAO: Lost Song.
It is possible to notice in the game's most recent trailer the presence of some characters that appeared in “War Of Underworld” , leading us to believe that the game may even cover this most updated part of the anime.
As for the character Medina, we see that she has a strong bond with the Administrator, and will feel a certain resentment towards Kirito due to his actions regarding the first part of Alicization.
However, as the trailer , she appears to join, or at least give our protagonist a break.
And if there are no further delays, the game will be available in July for: PS4, Xbox One and PC
