Bandai has officially announced that the new game inspired by the anime Sword Art Online: Alicization is yet another victim of the Covid-19 pandemic.
The postponement moved the launch to July instead of May , and aims above all to protect the development team and consumers.

Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris Alicization arc but with different events, as it includes an original character: Medina Orthinanos.
Something similar to other games in the franchise, where we have the character Kureha in SAO: Fatal Bullet and Rain in SAO: Lost Song.

It's possible to notice in the game's most recent trailer the presence of some characters who appeared in "War Of Underworld ," leading to the belief that the game may even cover this more updated part of the anime.
Regarding the character Medina, we see that she has a strong bond with the Administrator, and will harbor some resentment towards Kirito due to his actions in the first part of Alicization.
However, as the trailer , she appears to join forces with, or at least give our protagonist a break from, her tactics.
And barring any further delays, the game will be available in July for: PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
