After the postponement of the final part of Alicization due to COVID-19 , fans of the Sword Art Online anime can rest assured, as the new season is now confirmed to be released in July.
The confirmation came via a live stream from Dengeki Online , and from the anime's producer himself: Masami Niwa .
Furthermore, Masami assured that the entire anime development team worked hard to deliver the season in July with excellent quality.
This season will finally conclude the Alicization of Sword Art Online , which now totals 37 episodes .
On the other hand, the Light Novel continues after Alicization , with the subsequent arc called Unitial Ring , but there is no confirmation of an adaptation.
